 How does the installation process work?

2. Video survey: Our engineers assess your home’s setup remotely.  

3. Professional installation: We handle everything with minimal disruption. 

What changes are needed to my home’s electrical connection?

Our team will evaluate your existing setup and recommend upgrades (if required) during the video survey. 

Do I need a separate meter for my charger?

This depends on your home’s sanctioned load. We’ll guide you through the best setup for your needs. 

How long does installation take?

Most home installations are completed within a single day, depending on your electrical infrastructure.

Can I manage charging sessions remotely?

Yes! Our smart software lets you:  

- Schedule charging during off-peak hours.  

- Track energy usage and costs in real time.  

- Start/stop sessions via the EVoptix app.  
Can others charge at my home?

Yes. Set access permissions via the app to allow guests or restrict usage.

How long does a home charge take?

A standard wallbox charges most EVs from 0–80% in 5–10 hours (ideal for overnight use). 

Can I use a wall socket to charge?

Yes, but it’s slower. We recommend a dedicated wallbox for faster, safer charging.  
Do EVs have enough range for daily commutes?

Easily! Most modern EVs offer 250+ km per charge—far exceeding the average daily commute. 

Are EVs slow?
